THE BLACK PAINTINGS//
The Black Paintings is the name given to an ongoing series of works by Dereck Seltzer, which he began painting in late 2016 after the death of his creative partner and fiancé, Tina St. Claire; Artist & co-founder of TMRWLND.
Painted in single sittings, the abstract compositions and hypnotic, repetitive line work are haunting reflections on mortality, memory, nostalgia, loss and love.
